Terms of Dialogue

The first issue of the new CIHA journal “Terms” has been printed. It collects and discusses a contemporary vocabulary for the paradigm of “engagement.” “Terms of Engagement” has been published by the World Arthistory Institute (WAI) at Shanghai International Studies University and will be available on the website of the University of Heidelberg. The editorial board of the international journal that explores issues of global art history for the future invites contributions for the second issue, “Terms of Dialogue”.

Fast Forward Conference 5 in Thessaloniki, Greece, 2024: Hidden (Hi)stories: New Perspectives of Women’s Photographies

The deadline for the submission: 26 April 2023, 17:00 (British Summer Time) 

MOMus-Thessaloniki Museum of Photography announces the Greek edition of Fast Forward: Women in Photography, which is organised in partnership with the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) and London College of Communication (LCC) at University of the Arts London Photography (UAL) and the University of Sunderland.

The conference will take place on 17-19 May 2024 at MOMus -Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Ο Σωτήρης Φωκέας, γνωστός στο ευρύ κοινό ως Soteur, συζητά την Κυριακή 5 Μαρτίου 2023 με το κοινό του μουσείου, τους μεταπτυχιακούς φοιτητές, τους ειδικούς και τον επιμελητή της έκθεσης «Η Σμύρνη στις αρχές του 20ού αιώνα μέσα από τα μάτια του βυζαντινολόγου Γεωργίου Λαμπάκη», Δρ. Διονύσιο Μουρελάτο σχετικά με το έργο του, την καλλιτεχνική και επαγγελματική του πορεία καθώς και για τη συμμετοχή του σε μια ιστορική έκθεση.

Call for papers: International Conference Monuments for World War II: Memory and Oblivion in the Balkans and Central- East Europe

The conference will take place on November 23 and 24, 2023 in Athens, Greece. It is part of the research project “WaRs: War and Resistance Monuments in Greece: Documentation of and Historical Approach to Public Monuments, 1945-today” at the University of Ioannina (Greece), funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation.

Proposals should be sent to the organizing committee ( ) by March 31, 2023.
